Seventeen years ago, in 2009, we began as corejoomla.com, building extensions for people creating their own Joomla websites. Today, as Shondalai, we want to pause and say something simple: thank you for being part of this journey.
Some of you have been with us since those early CoreJoomla days. You have stayed through new versions, changing technologies, redesigns, and a new name. You have trusted our products with communities, classrooms, research, and businesses that matter to you. We know that trust takes time to earn, and we are grateful for it.
Thank you for riding along with us, including the stretches that needed patience. For reporting the bug we had missed. For explaining why a workflow did not fit the way you worked. For trying an update, sending a screenshot, or taking the time to write a thoughtful suggestion. Those conversations have helped us see our products through your eyes and make them better.
Software grows through that kind of attention. A small request can reveal a need we had not understood. A difficult support conversation can show us where something needs to become simpler. Your feedback has shaped what we build and how we think about building it.
Looking back, the thread running through these years is participation. Community Polls gave people a way to express a preference. Community Answers helped questions find answers that others could learn from. CjForum made room for ongoing discussion, while Sociable brought profiles, groups, and connections together around a community.
Community Surveys helped people listen more closely. Community Quiz gave educators and site owners tools for learning and assessment. Community Quotes offered a home for ideas worth sharing, and GPS Tools made routes and outdoor discoveries something others could follow.
It has been especially meaningful to see Community Surveys named in published research into first aid and COVID-19 care practices. The researchers did the important work; our software helped them ask questions and collect responses. Knowing that something we built could play a useful part in their work is a reminder of why these details matter.
In 2021, corejoomla.com became Shondalai. The name changed, and the same team continued the work. The relationship with the people using our extensions carried forward too. If you followed us through that move, thank you for making the new name feel familiar.
The family of products has kept growing. Rewardify helps communities recognize contributions. EasyForms turns a need into a form and a working process. EasyCommerce gives businesses tools to sell products, subscriptions, and digital goods on their own websites. Its storefront templates help each shop express its own character. QuillThreads opens space for readers to join the conversation beneath the content they care about.
Across all of them, you bring the purpose. You decide what to teach, which questions to ask, what to make, and whom to bring together. That is what gives the software its meaning.
