Can you trigger a vote on an option from article?

Hi

I'm looking for a way to use Community Polls as a voting engine to a contest.
The contest is for users where each user has an article about them. Therefore I would like a "vote button" on each page, and each vote button would refer to an option in a contest, e.g. like {poll id=1 option=6}. This code would trigger a vote button for that specific option in a poll.

Is this possible in current codebase?
