So I added a link for users to be able to create polls on a module in the front end. But, when a regular user tries to create a poll there is a page that pops up says: 

The requested page can't be found.

I've tried different users with different privileges but only the user with Super Admin privilege is able to create a poll. So where does this app get it's permissions from? I would assume the link with the community polls permissions would override joomla permissions.
