Poll module links not using itemid

Hello,
I've got the latest polls module published on my home page, but links to the polls are not generating the same as if you follow the navigation on my site...is this an itemid issue?

If I go to the polls home and click a poll, the URL is:
http://community.thecatholicspirit.com/extras/polls/viewpoll/polls/13-who-will-win-super-bowl-xliv.html

If I click the poll link from the module on the home page, the URL is:
http://community.thecatholicspirit.com/component/communitypolls/viewpoll/polls/13-who-will-win-super-bowl-xliv.html?itemid=0

As you can see with the second one, my Google adsense module is missing.

Can this be fixed?
