How do I remove the tabs at the top?

I only want to show the current week/month (and not the previous of either) so having a tab at the top is a waste of space. I tried coding out the tabs and was successful but then it through off how the first member was displayed. It could likely be fixed with a tweak to the css file but I am asking here for a better solution. How would I go about just removing the tabs completely but leave the rest of the module in tact?
