J3.2 (and other?)

If an item associated with the Community Polls User Layout is not published in a menu then the My Stuff menu in header.php is not visible even when logged in. Is this by design?

With the Community Polls User Layout published as an item in the Main Menu it is possible to access a listing of polls shown as though a list of registered user's submitted polls by choosing the menu item linked to Community Polls User Layout. Not a security or privacy concern but odd behaviour nonetheless.
