I've been trying to find a way to do this via backend but it seems its not possible :(

please advise me as to what I need to change in what file to get this done.

1. cacategories module always shows at least the category you're currently in even when the tree is switched off. How can I completely delete the tree so that the module only shows the "ask" input field

2. the component shows all categories above the input field on the component frontpage. How can I get rid of the categories? I don't need/want them to be there.

I've attached two images to show exactly what I meen. Please Help.
