For our implementation I have changed the following in pluginseditor-xtdgpstoolsgpstools.php:

var tag = '<div>{GPSCONTENT ["id": '+id+', "elevation": 1, "speed": 1, "hr": 1, "description": 1]}</div>';

As you see I have added ""description":1" to"var tag. The reason for this addition is that each time we push the "track"-button, we had to add this string. So I have changed the default. In my opinion this is most of the time the functionality you would want.

Can you add this to your extension?
