Community Answers Database Question
Hi Maverick,
I really have a very big categorization scheme and the problem is I have to do a lot of them manually. I would like to automate the categories by creating a script that does this. I looked at the category table of CA and I find this:
id, title, alias, parent_id, nleft, nright, nlevel, norder, questions, answers, permission_ask, permission_answer, permission_view
My questions are:
1. Is this the only table affected when creating a new category and nothing else?
2. How does nleft and nright work? Are these for SEF purposes only? How do you know what nleft/nright value is next when creating a new entry? How is it calculated?
Thanks again! Wonderful component.
