Using Community Polls Version 3.3.8 and Joomla 2.5.11

When putting text and code into the Description Section and clicking save it adds a number of "" (forwardslashes) to the code sections which renders this part useless. I have tried different editors but get the same result

IS this a CP thing or Joomla
It didn't happen before the upgraded to 3.3.8 from 3.3.6
