"Elevation gain" in GPS Tools

Dear team,
Thank you very much for your GPS tool.
However, I would like to point out an inaccuracy: The calculation of the "Total Elevation" is usually much too high. I have already noticed with several hundred GPX files that significantly more altitude meters are calculated compared to reality.

Here is an example of a ski tour (see attachment):
In reality, there are about 1,700 meters of elevation on this route. In the GPS tool, however, it is around 1,900 vertical meters.
On many other routes, the altitude meters are often a good 10% too high.

It would be nice if you could take this into account in a future update.
