front end editing of polls

It seems like once a poll is created in the front end, that the only way to edit it is from the back end. i am thinking of a situation where someone in the front has created a poll and wanted to add additional options afterwards. the only way would seem to be to unpublish the original poll and create a new one since they would not have access to backend. is there any plans for front end editing. thanks
