I'm planning a CJForums purchase for our Joomla site, which uses CommunityBuilder and a lot of other stuff.
(I really wish you had a trial I could test with!)
Since there is no way to try CjForum without buying it first, doing some preliminary testing with your free CjBlogs component to see how it interacts with what we have...
Installed the API / Library / Package... then the CjBlogs component. Enabled all the plugins...
went to the next step in the installer wiki ( http://wiki.corejoomla.com/Installing_and_configuring_CjBlog ) and it says "By default CjBlog installer creates a menu "CjBlog" with all the required menu items.".
The thing is, it DOESN'T... there are no CjBlog menuitems and no CjBlog menu.
Running Joomla! 3.8.10 Stable on PHP7.1.19...
