First, let me say that I really like the community polls component. I use the polls in a more traditional way, displaying polls on the same site that hosts the component. However, when I try to display multiple polls, each in their own module, they don't work as I'd expect. I'd like users to be able to vote in any number of polls on a page and have the individual polls update as each vote is cast. This feature is essential for my web site to work. FYI, I use the random-polls module to display each desired poll, restricting each module to select the poll needed in the module.

Should this technique work? Am I doing something wrong???
