I tried to create a new group in the administrator section of the site but there is no option to make it private there and assign the group admin. Then if you edit the group from the front end and make it private, no one can see the notifications for users applying to join.

I can only do this on the front end

Is there a way to do it from the admin part of the site

Is there a way to give more than one person admin permissions for a private group.
